Full Job Description

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate nurses to join L4 Ward, a 24-bedded, mixed-gender, acute general medical ward. Our nurses play a key role in providing high-quality care to a diverse patient group, supporting them from admission through to discharge.,

  • Deliver patient-centred care across the full spectrum of the patient journey, from admission to discharge.
  • Work as part of a dynamic, multidisciplinary team to support patient recovery and ensure safe, effective care.
  • Manage a variety of medical conditions in an acute setting, responding to the changing needs of patients.
  • If you are a motivated nurse with a commitment to high-quality patient care, we encourage you to apply and become a valued member of our L4 Ward team., As a Band 6 Nurse, you will take on a senior leadership role within the team, providing clinical and managerial oversight to ensure the highest standards of care. Key responsibilities include:
  • Shift Coordination: Take charge of the ward, coordinating and managing patient care throughout the shift, ensuring smooth handovers, and maintaining continuity of care.
  • Staff Management: Lead and supervise the nursing team, providing guidance and support to junior staff members, delegating tasks appropriately, and ensuring that care is delivered to the highest standard.
  • Patient Care: Ensure that all patients receive safe, compassionate, and high-quality care, meeting both their physical and emotional needs.
  • Clinical Leadership: Act as a role model and mentor, promoting best practices in clinical care, infection control, and patient safety.
  • Decision Making: Make informed clinical decisions and manage complex situations, escalating issues to senior management when necessary.
  • Training and Development: Support the professional development of staff, facilitating training and contributing to appraisals and competency assessments.
  • This leadership role demands excellent communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills, ensuring the smooth operation of the ward and the delivery of outstanding patient care.
