Full Job Description

  • Oncology/Haematology experience - whilst this is a desirable attribute for this role it is not essential, you will gain a world of knowledge on this ward.
  • Chemotherapy course - if required the successful candidate will be given the unique opportunity to attend the Oxford Brookes University accredited course in the administration of chemotherapy. You will receive support and guidance throughout your course from the ward staff.
  • As a ward we ensure that staff are given the opportunity to attend not only their mandatory training but also extra training that will help boost their knowledge and skills.

    We are looking for a highly motivated nurse to take on this band 7 role within Cancer services. The successful candidate must demonstrate previous managerial skills and be willing to promote a safe working environment for both patients and staff. The success candidate will be leading the SACT outpatients unit, which is split site, based at both Royal Hampshire County Hospital and Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital.
