Full Job Description

An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and inspirational leader to join the Osler Respiratory Unit as the Ward Sister/Charge Nurse . You will work alongside the multi-disciplinary team to ensure patient care is of the highest quality.

You will be encouraged and supported to use your initiative and to be creative in seeking ways to continuously improve care in line with the best available evidence. It will be paramount for you to have exceptional communication skills, to be a credible, transformational leader and to have a strong commitment to developing and supporting all of those within your team.

Undertaking this role will give you a wonderful opportunity for personal and professional development and this will be achieved by being part of the supportive and cohesive leadership team within Respiratory., The ward sister will be a highly experienced, knowledgeable clinical leader, who provides clinical and professional leadership and support to the ward team.

Acting as a role model the ward sister will promote and monitor safe and effective practice.

The ward sister will develop the ward team to ensure considerate and compassionate care is delivered by a competent workforce.

The ward sister will work with the Matron and Operational Service Manager to develop processes to enhance the patient experience.
