Full Job Description

Avantor is looking for an organised and proactive Warehouse Administrator, to join our team at MESM, Chorley. In this position, you'll monitor hire fleet demand, liaise with engineers for product testing, and assist with stock checks and inventory tasks.,

  • Generate and manage calibration certificates for new equipment, ensuring they are uploaded and stored correctly in the system, while also scanning and uploading old paper certificates and email PDFs.
  • Monitor daily product demand from the hire fleet and liaise with the engineering department to ensure products are available for testing.
  • Assist with stock management by supporting the Stock Controller in weekly PI checks and annual stock audits in their absence.
  • Support warehouse operations by assisting with goods receipt, returns, dispatches, and product movement to and from in-house engineering, following established procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and safe warehouse environment by adhering to ISO 9001 processes, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and properly disposing of waste.

  • Proven experience in warehouse administration, including managing inventory, processing orders, and supporting warehouse operations. Capable of managing administrative tasks efficiently, maintaining accurate records, and meeting deadlines.
  • Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, with the ability to navigate and utilize software to manage inventory, process orders, and maintain records
  • Strong ability to stay organized, manage tasks effectively, and maintain high levels of accuracy in all aspects of the role
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and professionally.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.) to support daily tasks and documentation

  • Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:45am to 5:00pm The Team You'll join a team of 10 associates, who are handling hands-on warehouse activities - goods-in, goods-out, and inventory managing just to name a few. You'll play a crucial part in the team by completing all administrative tasks and helping your team colleagues in hands-on activities.
