Warehouse Assistant

As a Warehouse Assistant you'll be responsible for the compliant handling, management and storage of materials arriving on site. You will undertake a full range of duties that are involved in this process, ensuring activities are carried out in accordance with technical, safety, quality, environmental and legal standards.

You'll be part of our Asset Management and Maintenance team at DB Cargo UK. Our Asset Management and Maintenance team ensure that all our wagons and locomotives are maintained and serviced on a regular basis to ensure smooth and efficient running whilst in service. The team is made up of skilled engineers, fitters and support staff.

Responsibilities
What will you be doing?

Unloading and loading of deliveries

Picking and packing materials as per production requirements

Receiving, checking and processing incoming goods using the company's stock management system

Keeping racks and warehouse tidy and undertaking any other housekeeping and stock counting duties as required

Supporting the production teams with general site movements using FLT/JCB

Build and maintain good communication to our internal customers in regard to deliveries to enable efficient planning.

You will be required to work 36 hours per week, shift times are below and rotate every 3 weeks.

Monday to Thursday - 07:00-16:30

Tuesday to Friday - 07:00 - 16:30

We are looking for someone with a positive working attitude with the ability to work positively within a team.

Previous warehouse experience is essential.

Excellent communicator

Forklift/JCB driving experience is preferred but full training will be given.

We offer a salary of £27,948 per annum.
