Warehouse Loaders - Night shift

We are currently looking for a number of Night shift Warehouse Operatives to assists in the sortation, storage, loading and unloading of product within a premier logistics company in Chester Le Street, County Durham. This role works on behalf of our customers to ensure they are receiving the correct freight at the correct time and upholding our promise of delivering exactly. Key responsibilities

• Loading sorting and scanning parcels and freight
• Working nights between 02.00 a.m. and 10.30 a.m. (Tuesday to Saturday)
• Follow all aspects of Manual Handling and safe working policies.
• Handle all freight with care and attention.
• Access and egress vehicles using the correct means.
• Use the correct equipment and methods for handling and moving all freight.
• Ensure all deliveries are loaded safely prior to leaving the depot.
• Ensure all freight being loaded or unloaded matches relevant paperwork / scanner information.
• Ensure that customers freight is transported, stored safely and treated with respect.
• Ensure the security of freight and company assets by reporting and suspicious activity to your line manager or the security team.
• Ensure warehouse is kept tidy and H&S issues reported immediately.
• Report all damages immediately to your line manager.
• Represent the company in a professional manner at all times.
  
  Ideally have previous experience within a logistics or warehouse environment
• Be able to work nights between 02.00 a.m. and 10.30 a.m. (Tuesday to Saturday)
• Be able to lift and load.
• Be able to work in a team and also independently.
• Must have own transport as site is not covered by public transport at start time of 02.00 a.m.
