Warehouse Operative

The Warehouse Operative plays a crucial role in the efficient operation of the warehouse. This position involves various tasks including receiving, storing, and dispatching goods. The ideal candidate should have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.,

• Receiving and Processing Shipments:

+ Unload, inspect, and verify incoming goods against purchase orders.
+ Report any discrepancies or damages.
+ Organize and store received items appropriately.


• Order Picking and Packing:

+ Accurately pick items according to order slips.
+ Pack goods securely for shipment.
+ Label packages with shipping information.


• Inventory Management:

+ Conduct regular stock counts and update inventory records.
+ Replenish stock in designated areas.
+ Assist in managing stock rotation


• Shipping and Dispatching:

+ Prepare goods for dispatch.
+ Coordinate with shipping companies and couriers.
+ Ensure timely dispatch of orders.


• Warehouse Maintenance:

+ Keep the warehouse clean and organized.
+ Maintain equipment and report any maintenance issues.
+ Follow safety protocols and guidelines.


• Documentation and Reporting:

+ Complete all required paperwork accurately.
+ Use warehouse management systems for inventory tracking.
+ Generate reports as needed.


• Able to understand bill of materials.


• Good communication skills with the ability to understand and implement verbal and written instructions.


• Ability to read basic engineering drawings and attention to detail


• PC literate


• Labour intensive role, good manual handling skills and physical fitness are a must


• Able to work well using own initiative and equally as part of a team, showing self-motivation and problem-solving skills.


• Able to follow all Company Policies and Procedures.


• Ensure work is completed in a timely and effective manner.


• Flexible attitude when working to tight deadlines, show commitment to "get the job done".


• Excellent time keeping and attendance.


• Good level of education in mathematics and English.


• Show dignity and respect towards work colleagues, customers, and visitors.


• Counter balance FLT licence preferred but not essential
