Full Job Description
- Colleague Networks - internal groups where colleagues and their allies can share their own experiences, offer feedback on the way we do things at Greggs, and provide support to one another, As a Warehouse Operative you'll play a key role in making sure our shops get all the items they have ordered so that they can give our loyal Greggs customers a great customer service. What you'll do You'll be handling boxes, picking products and packing, pushing, and pulling cages around the warehouse. You'll be comfortable walking 15000+ steps during your shift, helping to prepare our shop orders. You'll need to make sure our trucks are at the right temperature ready to load, and products are loaded into the correct compartment for ambient, chill, or frozen. You will also be expected to work in a chiller/freezer environment. You'll work as part of a great team too, helping everyone to achieve the daily targets. All this hard work helps our Drivers to maximise as much delivery time as they can. You'll work with the best IT systems to make sure each order is accurate, but you'll still need a good eye for detail.
- You're comfortable with plenty of walking, lifting and carrying, pushing and pulling, as well as other tasks such as cleaning
- You're able to work in cold/frozen areas of the warehouse (warm PPE provided)
- You're experienced in following processes and procedures and working in a fast-paced environment where timescales and targets are important
- Once trained, you'll be able to keep up with pace of work
- You've had some exposure working with SAP systems (desirable)
