Full Job Description
As a Warehouse Operative , you will work in a team that is responsible for the site's inbound and outbound inventory as well as supplying production with the materials required to meet the production plan. This involves receiving material at Goods In whilst ensuring they meet Eaton's requirements, locating the goods within a location-controlled warehouse. Inspection of material where defined and reporting any nonconformances to prevent issues within manufacturing. Working with production in Kitting to supply material as line side replenishments, kit production order to a plan and deal with short-notice requests to meet demand. Receive goods from production in Dispatch and ensure they are located in the warehouse whilst working with shipping to send finished goods to the customer on time and correctly. Whilst carrying out these tasks you will be expected to maintain a clean and safe working environment by carrying out daily cleaning activities and participating in 5S & C.I. events and by following Eaton's standards. Hours of Work:
- 40 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 07:30-16:30 and Friday 07:30-14:00 with a 30-minute unpaid meal break. Your main responsibilities:
- Goods Receiving - timely recognition of direct and indirect material and services.
- Kitting - timely picking of material to production orders and direct to lineside stocks.
- Incoming Inspection - inspect goods to a defined criteria.
- Material Movement - locating both incoming materials and finished goods within a location-controlled environment.
- Dispatch - picking customer orders to meet scheduled collections.
- Forklift - Counterbalance, reach, and pedestrian truck driving.
- Involvement in continuous improvement activities.
- Adherence to Health and Safety requirements.
A positive can-do attitude with an ability to work in a fast paced and high-pressure environment within the existing Warehouse team. - Competent in English and Mathematics.
- Counterbalance and Reach Forklift driving license would be beneficial but not essential.
- Experience of working in a warehouse environment would be beneficial but not essential.
- Experience of working with an ERP system such as SAP would be beneficial but not essential.
- Be able to confidently liaise with collection and delivery drivers.
