Full Job Description

Working as a Logistics Operative you can be sure that no two days will ever be the same. This is a high-paced role that requires quick thinking and exceptional organisational skills. You'll be working as part of a logistics team, you'll be responsible for picking, receiving, and managing materials within the supply chain. You will work in an effective and compliant operation, ensuring adherence to all legal, operational, and SHE procedures, interacting with internal operational customers. You'll be required to organise your own work in order to meet agreed timescales and deadlines.

- Delivering Quality Outputs: Carrying out all work associated with Issue and receipt of materials, plant, tools, equipment, and road traffic signs and barriers, via a warehouse management system.

- Attention to detail: Undertaking the verification of stock levels as required, and control of process for non-stock & PPE items. Coordinating site waste management. Operating and using mobile plant, mechanical lifting and handling equipment, and other equipment properly and safely; ensuring that they are correctly checked, maintained and stored



- Customer Service: First point of contact for customer queries and requests. On request, assisting and participating in standby/ call-out arrangements and roving stores duties.

Desirable Qualifications: Trained to NVQ level 2 (or equivalent) in distribution and warehousing, Forklift, Telehandler / Combi Lift / VNA (Very Narrow Aisle) licences
- all non essential.
- Health & safety conscious: A knowledge of good practice relating to Health and Safety Regulations, including Hazard reporting and safety conversation competent
- IT & other skills: Good reading, writing, and mathematical skills. Computer literate. Excellent customer service & clear communication skills, with focus on attention to detail
