Full Job Description

Edmonton Distribution Centre is a 24/7 operation, 364 days per year. Our Automated Storage and Retrieval System (ASRS) warehouse holds over 25,000 pallets, with a typical annual throughput of two million pallets. Every 24 hours we expect to receive around 2,500 pallets from the on-site manufacturing operation, directly into the ASRS, as well as handling around 200 vehicle movements. Inbound vehicles arrive from our other factory sites, with palletised goods which must be put away promptly and safely into the ASRS and accurately recorded. At the same time, orders of full pallets will be pre-assembled into gravity racking and side-loaded on third party haulage vehicles, for dispatch to our customers and other sites across our network What to expect: In order for you to be successful in your role you will be responsible for conducting tasks which includes: - Delivering a high level of service for our customers within Great Britain & Europe, which tasks are inclusive of the following of :

  • Operating a Fork Lift Truck to fulfil loading / unloading requirements for all internal and external customers. Dispatch / Servicing Of Production Lines into the ASRS / Unloading Inbound pallets and placing them onto Infeed to go into ASRS
  • Checking of pallets
  • Pallet Release
  • Yard Duties
  • Replenishment of the Mid-Bulk environment, ensuring goods are available in a timely manner
  • Stock Rotation / Stock Request Requirement
  • Freestyle Inbound breaking down and booking in SAP
  • Case Picking using a LLOP
  • Scrubbing
  • Inverting / Reworking pallets
  • Returns
  • In addition, aligned to the Best Operating Practice Agreement, you will have at least one of the following skills :
  • General Trainer ( exclusive of RTITB and Class 1 shunter training
  • Racking Inspector / Repair
  • OSS - Coordinator
  • OSS - Stock / Slots
  • OSS - Gatehouse
  • You will ensure the quality of our products through both hands on inspection and on line analytical measurement.
  • Carry out individual case picking when necessary

    Preferred experience of working in a FMCG Environment, however not essential
  • Capable of maintaining the exceptional standards of health & safety
  • Maintain the exceptional standards of Customer Service.
  • Numeracy and literacy skills to GCSE standard or equivalent and excellent IT skills
  • Hold a current FLT license (counterbalance) and to have driven an FLT (Fork Lift Truck)
  • Previous experience and knowledge of inbound receipt processes will be an advantage
  • Achieve productivity targets whilst paying attention to detail
  • Working on shifts, you will take a flexible and co-operative approach to changes in the rota to meet the needs of the business and its customers, operating on a predominately 4 on 4 off 12 hours a shift, days and nights schedule.
