Full Job Description
Ummah Welfare Trust is looking for an enthusiastic, hard-working Warehouse/Recycling staff member to support
the charity's clothes recycling services. You will help ensure that warehouse processes run smoothly and that
clothing orders are prepared and dispatched on time.,
- Ensure efficient loading and unloading of clothing from vehicles into and from the warehouse.
- Loading/unloading of all stock and moving it around the warehouse.
- Help sort, grade and bail clothes.
- Keep stock control systems up to date and make sure inventories are accurate.
- Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security in the work environment.
- At all times maintain a high standard of housekeeping in the warehouse as well as its surroundings
- Undertake other ad hoc duties as commensurate with the role.
This post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check., Experience Grading/sorting experience Desirable
including any storage areas.
Skills /Abilities Ability to manoeuvre stock by hand and lift heavy loads for sustained Essential
periods
Capable of dealing with high volume of stock and warehouse Essential
operations
Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines during busy Essential
periods
Excellent communication skills and able to work well in a team Essential
Take pride in delivering an excellent service Essential
