Full Job Description

The purpose of the role is to assist in the management and control of stock within the warehouse, ensuring the virtual and physical warehouse records align. You will work closely with the Warehouse Team to optimise pick locations and monitor available capacity in the warehouse. You will work closely with the Department Managers to ensure locations and stock movements are completed according to company procedures and report any discrepancies.

Responsibilities:

Inventory Management:

· Monitor and maintain current inventory levels; ensuring there is adequate stock holding for live orders

· Perform regular stock checks and audits to ensure accuracy of records

· Identify discrepancies between physical counts and computer records, and resolve discrepancies

Stock Movement:

· Relocate stock from low use locations, into default pick locations to improve the picking efficiency of the warehouse team

· Ensure all stock movements are recorded accurately in the inventory management system

· Periodically review default locations for each client ensuring their stock is fully optimised for picking

· Complete replenishment tasks on a daily basis

Data Management:

· Maintain accurate inventory records in the inventory management system, reviewing quarantined and out of date products and escalating this to the Operations team

· Ensure the inventory management system accurately represents the physical stock for each location

Quality Control:

· Inspect stock for damages, defects, and expiration dates

· Ensure that stock is stored safely and securely, following company guidelines and safety regulations

· Implement and monitor quality control measures to ensure the integrity of inventory

Communication and Coordination:

· Communicate with other departments regarding stock requirements and issues

· Work closely with the Inbound team to ensure stock is inbounded to the optimal locations

· Address and resolve any inventory-related inquiries or problems from internal or external stakeholders, Maintaining optimal stock levels to meet operational demands
- Ensuring accurate and timely replenishment of inventory
- Contributing to the overall efficiency of the warehouse operations

We are looking for a bright, motivated and detail-oriented Stock Controller to join our growing warehouse team., Prior experience in warehouse or stock handling roles will be advantageous
- Proficiency in using forklifts
- Proficient in Excel and other MS Office applications

- Strong organisational skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure and independently
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members

Monday to Friday (occasional weekends)
- 7am to 4pm (45hrs per week with a paid break)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From £28,000.00 per year
