Warehouse Supervisor

Reports To: Warehouse manager

Working hours: 45 hours per week, 0600 - 1600 Mon - Fri

Main Purpose & Scope of the Job

As a warehouse supervisor, you will be responsible for leading and supporting warehouse team to ensure a professional service to be provided in dealing with incoming goods, storage and dispatch service to customers, encompassing both speed and accuracy of the delivery.

Duties & Key Responsibilities

• Leading a team of warehouse operatives.


• Training, managing and motivating staff.


• Implementing the company health and safety procedures.


• Providing excellent customer service.


• Merchandising and stock management.


• Implementing company policies and procedures.


• Organise the incoming goods, storage and dispatch of items in a timely


• To ensure effective, safe, accurate and timely stock management to include space allocation, stock transfer and dealing with non-confirming product


• Working closely with the purchasing department to ensure adequate stock levels.


• Organising and ensuring accurate and periodic cycle counts and stock takes.


• Work to minimise wastage and damages to items.


• Ensure incoming product is receipted into SAP/WMS accurately and outgoing product is recorded accurately on all invoices.


• In management absence, be responsible for managing & running Goods in department.


• Ensure integrity and accuracy of Goods In receipts into the stock management system i.e. SAP.


• Maintain reports to ensure key critical areas of Goods In are controlled and any discrepancies are highlighted, addressed & resolved.


• Manage control measures to ensure mistakes, inaccuracies and discrepancies are highlighted, addressed & resolved.


• Implement the company's Healthy and Safety Policy, ensuring safe working conditions and practices within the warehouse.


• Any other ad-hoc projects that may be assigned to you by Warehouse manager.

• Adhere of Best before date Checks
  
  Experience in warehousing or distribution.


• Unloading containers.


• Have a strong understanding of Goods In controls & management systems.


• Problem solving skills.


• Experience of lean methodologies would be an advantage.


• Excellent written & verbal communication skills for a demanding & customer focused working environment.


• Excellent personal organisation and business administration skills.


• Possess the ability to work productively, efficiently & effectively with initiative and drive under tight timescales whilst maintaining attention to quality & detail.


• Possess the ability to lead and motivate the team.


• Possess the willingness to learn, improve and adapt.


• Be proficient in IT - using Microsoft Office Excel & Word., Warehouse management: 1 year (required)


• Warehouse: 1 year (preferred)


Licence/Certification:

• Forklift Licence (preferred)

Pay: £30,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
