Full Job Description
We are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Team Leader at our depot in Dudley, the main purpose of the job is to:
- Lead all aspects of a warehouse shift effectively whilst maintaining Safety, Quality, Service, Cost & Productivity performance to ensure all targets are met.
- Ensure that the highest standards of Safety, Productivity & Discipline are maintained throughout the shift pattern.
- Ensure the safe & efficient shift by shift operation of an operational team.
- Ensure that the shift is effectively managed within the framework of ASD's policies & procedures; particularly relating to Health & Safety, training, time keeping, absence control, discipline & compliance. Refers any issues to Operations Manager promptly.
- Ensure that shift follows all applicable quality procedures.
- Monitor efficiency of shift & drives performance improvement.
- Ensure the Ten Commandments activities are fully supported by the team. In particular maintaining housekeeping, 5S standards, ensuring TPM sessions take place, & the correct identification of product & storage locations.
- Ensure customer requirements are satisfied by making sure that activities are performed correctly & on time.
- Monitor training requirements of shift & ensures that expiry dates are observed.
- Ensure highest standards are maintained at all time on the shift., To ensure that the processes in the area conform with all EHS requirements & that performance is monitored & activities progressed to improve that performance.
- To develop & maintain established standards relating to the activities & products. Monitors performance according to the agreed standards.
- Liaise with supplying & customer processes, & Sales to ensure the highest levels of end customer service are achieved.
- Ensure all preparations are made to enable the following shift to perform at the highest level.
- Ensure that costs are tightly controlled & waste is minimised.
- Ensure that shift targets are achieved & exceeded by resolving issues & close liaison with other shifts & Departments. Drives continuous improvement activities to increase shifts performance.
