Full Job Description

We are now looking for an Underwriter specializing in warranty to join our team, based within reach of our London office.

This role will focus on providing counsel and advice on all underwriting matters relating to all Warranty account, s providing technical expertise as well as developing and maintaining this business.

Key responsibilities within this role will include (but are not limited to):

Develop and underwrite a profitable portfolio of Warranty business as part of the Warranty team, taking ownership of performance for allocated accounts and new business.
Support the development, implementation and execution of operational plans to meet strategic aims and corporate objectives.
Evaluate appropriate risks by considering the risk costs, reinsurance cessions, capital exposure as well as the underwriting and general administrative costs to ensure profitability, using rating models as applicable.
Leverage networking opportunities within the business to develop standardized underwriting policy and best practice within AmTrust.

Successful candidates should have strong proven experience within warranty underwriting and have an ambitious and results driven mentality, good knowledge of warranty products including electrical, motor & personal device protection would be beneficial.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong work ethic, excellent technical abilities as well as a commercial/sales focused attitude, comfortable working autonomously, confident in your ability, thrive working in a collaborative business, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
