This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic Waste & Cleansing Contracts Manager to join our Environmental Services team.

The Role:
This role will report into the Service Lead - Environmental Services and will lead and manage the provision of a range of waste and recycling services including collections, disposal, provision of Household waste and recycling centres and street cleansing, through a range of contracts.

Your role will involve:
Effective contract and budget management, ensuring required standards are achieved and cost effective services are delivered.
Working with key stakeholders, local residents and the voluntary sector, ensuring services meet the needs of our community and are accessible to all users.
Managing capital improvement and maintenance works as required.
Developing the team and building relationships.
Providing expert advice on matters relating to waste and cleansing service delivery.

Experience of managing and developing waste and recycling services.
Strong contract and project management skills.
Excellent communication skills.
Strategic thinking and solve problems thinking skills.
Ability to develop and manage strong and effective partnerships.
Proven track record of increasing recycling rates and improving services.
Familiarity with practices, trends, regulations, and techniques related to waste and recycling.
Experience of managing capital and revenue budgets and resources.

This is a full-time, permanent role based out and about in the borough with hybrid working, and a salary of £47,186 - £51,573 per annum., 32 days annual leave
