Full Job Description

Do you want to help us shape the future of waste and recycling for the New Forest?, An opportunity has arisen for 3 x Waste and Recycling Advisors to join our waste and recycling team. Supported by the Lead waste and recycling advisor, you will work together to help guide and support our residents through the forthcoming waste and recycling service changes for 2025 and 2026.

Are you good at working with and helping people?

You will be able to engage, and build excellent relationships with our residents, businesses, and other key stakeholders, providing information that will help drive behaviour change. This will involve answering customer enquiries, processing requests, and resolving issues. We must ensure our residents are fully informed and able to participate in the new recycling initiatives and you will be pivotal to the success of the service changes and the anticipated increase in recycling across the district.

Are you passionate about recycling more and wasting less?

You do not need any formal training or experience in the waste and recycling industry as all training will be provided. However, you must share our passion for tackling climate change, by reducing our waste, reusing what we can and recycling more. You will act as the public facing representative for service change enquiries, supporting residents with face-to-face visits to properties and sharing best practice.

You have:

A minimum of GCSE education including Maths and English to grade C or equivalent and will be a confident communicator, written, verbally and face to face.

You may have experience of working within the community and strong commitment to customer care.

£25,204 - £26,531 per annum
