Full Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated and well organised individual to join our supervisor team in waste services. You will need to ensure operational staff maintain high standards of customer service and health and safety along with the ability to manage operational teams and identify service improvements. This role will include going out on site visits to check on crews and meet with members of the public for which a vehicle will be provided.
You will ensure the back-office systems supporting the operational activities of Waste Services are effectively and efficiently updated. You will be responsible for ensuring our crews and vehicles go out each day to collect waste and recycling and allocate the available resources effectively. The post holder will contribute to increasing our recycling rate and reducing the amount of waste sent for disposal.

About You

The post holder will be directly responsible for the management of day-to-day service provision in accordance with the council's requirements for waste services.

You should have experience of people management and supervision of frontline waste collection services or similar operational services.
