Full Job Description
You will be responsible for supervising the day to day operations of waste collections services whilst ensuring contractual requirements are monitored and targets are achieved, you will always also promote and enhance the good reputation of the business throughout the South East region. You will conduct induction and training of frontline operational staff to ensure they meet expected standards of performance; you will also need to make sure staff adhere to all health and safety procedures. Other duties will also include;
- Lead and coordinate your teams such that staff are developed, utilised and deployed effectively, employee performance and motivation is maximised to meet organisational standards and requirements.
- Develop and implement plans, approaches, schedules, and improvement programmes to deliver ongoing monthly, quarterly and annual KPI's, SLA's and objectives for a department, unit or enabling service
- Oversee the planning, development, implementation and maintenance of operational methods, processes, and systems for new and existing products.
- Ensure effective use of materials, equipment, and people in producing quality products to schedule at minimum cost.
- Liaise with operations, supply chain and other internal functional departments in releasing new products, materials, equipment, facilities, and process updates to ensure appropriate testing and introduction of improvements and changes while maintaining continuity and achievement of schedules.
- Monitor operational performance and identify performance improvement initiates for the unit, work with internal and external resources to define and deliver operational performance improvement.
Certificate in Management studies or equivalent - Waste - Ability to work to your own imitative or part as a team
- In depth knowledge of Waste and recycling procedures
- Previous supervisory experience
- Full UK driving licence
- Class 2 preferred
