Full Job Description
Working as part of the Wastewater Assets team, you will interface with Operations, Asset Planning and Capital Delivery teams to ensure the capital investment programme is targeted to ensure DCWW meets it's business plan targets and measures of success. Playing a lead role in identifying operational mitigation for wastewater assets needs, working closely with operational teams to establish root cause of prioritised schemes and developing business risks through to intervention and acting as Client liaison throughout the capital delivery process. This will include: 1. Understanding risk and prioritise investment in line with whole life cost and TOTEX solutions. 2. Use and update Investment Manager, ensuring consistent risk scoring methodology is in place and being used throughout the investment delivery process, and ensuring operational mitigation for risks and needs are identified and recorded. 3. Identify and implement best practise from across the business and assess opportunities for innovation. 4. Identify areas for efficiency and operational cost savings throughout the investment programme. 5. Review and analyse asset performance data and maintenance records and ensure root cause is established quickly and efficiently for risks and needs which are progressing through the capital delivery process. 6. Following governance processes related to capital delivery, acting as Client on behalf of Operations throughout the investment delivery processes from feasibility to project handover. 7. Work with Asset Planning, Operations and Capital Delivery Teams and ensure their needs and concerns are addressed 8. Influence solutions through the investment delivery process to ensure projects satisfy operations needs, are fit for purpose and to the required standard, achieve required statutory and business outputs within the available budget and within required timescales. 9. Provide reports to articulate risk and benefits delivered through capital interventions at project, programme and portfolio levels. 10. Input into and report on optioneering R&Vs, HAZOPs, HAZCOM design reviews and scheme sign off meetings with stakeholders. 11. Develop close working relationships with the Engineering Consultancy Partners, Asset Planning, Capital design and delivery to ensure continued alignment of strategy and delivery. 12. Ensure lessons learnt and successes on projects are disseminated through to relevant business areas including Wastewater Assets, Capital Delivery and Operations through the completion of post project reviews, promotion of best practise and identification of innovation opportunitiesWho you'll work with Internal

Experience, Knowledge & Skills - Experience gained through thorough understanding of wastewater service delivery
- Experience gained through customer liaison in compliant bases scenarios, able to demonstrate model customer liaison
- A degree level qualification, or equivalent, in a relevant subject
- A proven Process Engineer or Specialist with wastewater operational experience
- Project & Programme Management - Prince II and/or APM Certification preferred with experience on wastewater projects
- The ability to develop positive working relationships and to be seen as a highly credible senior representative of the business is required for this role
- The ability to look at issues from a broad perspective, to come up with imaginative solutions, and to identify innovative alternatives to typical, unusual or difficult situations or problems
- Ability to travel as the job requires
- The belief in the value of synergy; the drive and ability to work with others to achieve a common goal in an optimally effective way
- The ability to use initiative to influence events, see opportunities and act on them, and to originate action Good to know
