Full Job Description

The role were hiring for is a Water Treatment Remedial Plumberwho would join our team based inthe South East London area.Youll be responsible for ensuring that all small works and remedial plumbing is carried out to a high specification and previous experience of working within the water treatment/water hygiene sector would be advantageous. Be prepared to work weekends as needed and have a thorough understanding of current guidelines. Night shifts and occasional overnight stays may be required, with a minimum of two weeks' notice provided, except in emergencies. What you receive for joining us: Were looking to offer a salary of £32,000 - £38,000.In addition, we offer a Company Pension and Healthcare, accrued hours scheme, a financial loyalty bonus, working the hours of 8am 5pm, a company vehicle, mobile phone and expenses. Heres a look at some of the things youll be doing:

  • Perform remedial plumbing tasks including dead end/leg removal, valve replacements, tank vent installation, lagging, TMV inspection and servicing, and water heater replacements
  • Conduct temperature monitoring, cleaning and disinfection of shower heads/outlets, visual inspections, water sampling, and closed system analysis
  • Carry out cooling tower cleans, water feature analysis, descaling, and internal inspections of calorifiers and water heaters
  • Clean and disinfect pipework systems and cold-water storage tanks, as well as perform mains injection disinfections and softener servicing and disinfections in line with BS 8558:2011

    Minimum Level 2 NVQ plumbing qualification or equivalent with proven mechanical aptitude and technical ability
  • Positive attitude, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently or lead a team
  • Strong understanding of regulations, with the ability to discuss technical issues and accurately complete reports and logbooks
  • Capable of physical work, including lifting and climbing, and hold a full UK driving license
