Full Job Description

To recruit, train and lead the Watersports team to ensure the effective delivery of the Watersports programme.

To ensure the safe operation of the Watersports department, in line with policies, procedures and NGB guidelines; and providing technical advice to instructors where required.

To maintain high levels of service and standards both within both the Watersports department and the wider park.

Duties

Ensure all sessions are appropriately staffed.

Ensure all instructor, course and maintenance records are kept up to date and in line with NGB and company guidelines.

Provide observation and support to staff to help them develop and deliver activities to high standards.

To be responsible for briefing and de-briefing instructor sessions whilst you are the lead on site.

To be responsible for the safety of all activity participants and take a lead role in ensuring best practices and training is followed.

Act as the main point of communication between instructors and the wider organisation.

To fulfil the role of Duty Manager, and support staff across the park

To promote equality and ensure that all duties are carried out in accordance with our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Policy.

To work closely with the Bookings and Treetop teams, to develop attractive schools and group packages.

To undertake any other duties as required.

Set and maintain high standards of maintenance, teaching and customer service.

Lead any operational improvements for the watersports department, including staff efficiency, training programmes and customer experience.

To support staff in difficult circumstances, including changes in weather and student behaviour problems.

To review monthly customer feedback reports and implement actions where appropriate.

To review and bring forward new ideas to develop our watersports programme.

  • RYA Senior Dinghy Instructor

  • BC Paddlesport Instructor


  • Ability to develop training programmes and session plans

    Good understanding of Microsoft office - word, excel and teams

    Ability to lead and advise team members with best practice and industry knowledge

    Great communication skills when dealing with team members and general public

    Flexibility with working patterns including evenings, weekends and bank holidays

    Full UK driving licence

    Willingness to develop into additional roles including Duty managing and key holding
