Full Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity to lead our Web Analytics team. The role is fundamental in understanding the performance of our leading websites and the way our customers shop our sites. You'll have a passion for analytics and improving the customer experience on the website whilst having the opportunity to develop and learn new skills yourself; alongside managing and mentoring a team of three analysts. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to lead a team who own the full web journey from tagging implementation to onsite testing, right through to the post purchase, customer analytics. The role comes with great exposure to the wider business with opportunities to make a real difference and help in shaping the future strategy. Our people are our superpower, and we're unstoppable when we're together! We want your ideas to flow, and what better way to make that happen than being based onsite, 5 days a week, where our culture fuels creativity, collaboration and growth. If a £1 bet in the pub between two friends can become the UKs most trusted electrical retailer, imagine what else can be achieved when we we're together! Here's What You Can Expect To Be Doing
- Lead and develop a team of three Web Analysts, providing mentorship and aligning their goals with team and business objectives.
- Utilize GA360/GA4 and other analytics tools to deliver actionable insights on website performance to key stakeholders.
- Define and execute a roadmap for analytics capabilities, focusing on dashboarding, reporting, and actionable recommendations.
- Lead the team in developing and maintaining automated dashboards and reports using tools like Google BigQuery and Power BI, ensuring they meet business needs.
- Identify opportunities to optimize the customer journey and improve key sales indicators through robust analysis.
- Define key metrics for all stages of the website journey, ensuring they align with broader business objectives.
- Monitor website performance, identifying the reasons behind variations and providing evidence-based recommendations.
- Analyse A/B tests, delivering insights, recommendations, and financial valuations to support decision-making.
- Collaborate with product and implementation teams to address tagging needs and ensure data accuracy.
- Foster a culture of data-driven decision-making within the business, acting as a key advisor for cross-functional teams., Mobile Number Current / last job title

We're known for helping our customers brilliantly - and it's no different for AOers. We care about more than what's on your CV, because together we can do extraordinary things., AO is for everyone We should all feel that we belong. That's why we are creating a welcoming and inclusive place to work. We're proud to be different. From how we look to the way we talk to our customers, we skip to the beat of our very own drum. We know that being different together is our superpower and we celebrate it because it makes us stronger, more creative, and better at what we do. We believe the people we employ should reflect the diversity of our customer base; that way, we can communicate in a way that recognises all backgrounds, races, ethnicities, genders, ages, religions, abilities, and sexual orientations. After we've collated the data, we'll look at the patterns to assess if we are inclusive at each stage. If it turns out that we aren't, then the data may help us identify where we can improve. The data will never have any bearing on whether an application is successful or not and will not be available to hiring managers at any stage. How do you describe your gender identity? How do you describe your ethnic background? How do you like to describe your sexual identity or sexual orientation? Do you identify as a person with a disability or are you a person with accessibility needs? How would you describe your Neurodiversity?
