Full Job Description

The Web Content Editor will be responsible for the creation and maintenance of digital content, complying with the agreed institutional tone of voice, policies and regulations to manage content of the University website.

The post holder will also need to liaise with identified content owners of web pages and will also need to create and advise on content needed for all the digital channels produced by the University, including internal sites, microsites and blogs.

The Web Content Editor will also need to work with external agencies and the team to ensure the Global Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) of the University web site reflect key messages and terms for optimum search function.

With Smarter Working you can work with increased flexibility, if you would like to, which can facilitate greater freedom and autonomy., Marketing and Student Recruitment is responsible for the promotion of the University and its courses to recruit students from the UK. We use market research to develop creative strategies that explain how we can help our students achieve their goals., 1. Creating an Inclusive Environment: Adopting a zero-tolerance approach to discrimination and ensuring all activities are inclusive.

2. Supporting Students and Staff: Strengthening mental health support, enhancing disability confidence, and ensuring academic and professional support.

3. Tackling Inequalities: Involving students in recruitment, integrating forums for equality data analysis, and supporting networks for protected characteristics.

The post holder will have excellent knowledge and expertise in digital web content, Microsoft SharePoint and WordPress in order to maintain the web content which conforms to agreed standards of plain English, house style and general principles of online writing good practice.

You will also need excellent knowledge and experience of digital web content with accountability for the effective management of content accessibility and web practice.

The post holder will also have an ability to develop professional relationships in order to influence other's thinking whilst providing an excellent customer service.
