Full Job Description

The Web Developer at Akeneo, will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimising our portfolio of websites. This role will collaborate with our marketing, design, and content teams to create high-quality, engaging, and user-friendly web experiences. This includes regularly creating modules and layouts to increase conversion, lead capture, and user engagement. This role requires technical expertise and creative problem-solving skills, which will play a key role in achieving our digital marketing goals and enhancing our brand's online presence. This also includes maintaining multiple language websites.,

  • Develop, customise, and maintain websites, themes, modules and plugins.

  • Integrate sites with Akeneo's product experience management solutions and products.

  • Implement best practices for website performance, security, and scalability.

  • Create and optimise landing pages, forms, and other web assets to support marketing campaigns.

  • Work closely with designers to translate visual designs into functional websites.

  • Ensure website content is well-organised and easily accessible.

  • Ability to operate within five different languages to manage content

  • Troubleshoot and resolve website issues in a timely manner.

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest web development trends, tools, and technologies.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field.

  • Proven experience as a Web Developer with a strong portfolio of web projects in the B2B space.

  • Proficiency in front-end technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.

  • Experience using and implementing agile development methodology

  • In-depth knowledge of WordPress architecture, themes, and plugins.

  • Experience with PHP and MySQL.

  • Understanding of SEO best practices and website optimization techniques.

  • Familiarity with integrating third-party APIs and tools.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.


  • Nice-to-haves:
  • Experience with responsive and mobile-first web design.

  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).

  • Experience with eCommerce platforms and their integration with WordPress.
