Full Job Description

  • Develop and maintain web applications, along with their backend infrastructure, specifically in Python.
  • Participate in the full development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment within Microsoft Azure.
  • Collaborate with other developers to design, develop, and deploy high-quality web-based solutions.
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps CI/CD deployment.
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues as they arise.
  • Keep up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in web development.

    To be considered for this role, you must have:
  • Web development experience, especially with HTML5 and modern web frameworks, CSS and JavaScript
  • Python web technologies, including Django, Bootstrap
  • Awareness of how to create well-designed & responsive web applications that offer the highest level of user experience.
  • Awareness of MS Azure and resources available that could be applied to our environment
  • Ability to work with information exchange and integration technologies, especially APIs and IoT
  • Awareness of how to select and implement the appropriate technologies to deliver resilient, scalable and future-proofed solutions.
  • Ability to review requirements, specifications and define test conditions.
  • Strong understanding of programming concepts and web development principles.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • It is also desirable but not essential to have experience with:
  • Microsoft Azure or other cloud infrastructure environments (GCP / AWS)
  • Azure DevOps
  • Agile management approaches
  • Common JavaScript frameworks, including Bootstrap, Angular, React, etc.
  • Visualisation frameworks, including Leaflet and Plotly
  • Database technologies, including PostgreSQL and SQL Server
  • Qualification in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
