Full Job Description

Timely creation, uploading and maintenance of content across the Saga digital estate primarily the magazine & content website and apps and brand homepage
Helping to shape content creation and curation plans with the publishing, marketing and SEO teams
Working with business unit content creation & curation plans and aligning accordingly
Working alongside the Digital Analyst to understand the performance of content and suggest opportunities for improvements
Ensuring all content is edited for the correct format & template, proof reading as well as responsibility for editing and resizing images in the correct format managing this workflow process via JIRA.
Collaborating with the marketing, development (IT), digital and editorial teams to optimise content and proactively create relevant content in order to drive SEO performance
Applying SEO best practice (as defined & advised by stakeholders), curate, and manage required SEO related content on saga.co.uk
Accessibility: ensuring the website is clear and easily accessible for users utilising tools like Siteimprove and Adobe Acrobat Pro for web friendly PDF's
Analyse user behaviour and feedback to identify opportunities for enhancing website usability and overall user experience. Collaborate with design teams to implement improvements in website design and layout.
Stay Informed on Industry Trends: Keep abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in web development. Recommend and implement innovative solutions to stay ahead of the curve.
Involvement of site development roadmap, working with group resource to ensure on time delivery.
Training: Update and maintain the webmaster user guide, ensuring alignment with new feature updates and train other Bus in Sitecore usage and standards
Support BUs in building, migrating, and managing their web pages.

Understanding of technical CMS functionality and features
Knowledge and experience using Sitecore highly desirable
HTML & CSS skills desirable
Use of Analytics and CRO tools such as Adobe Analytics, Adobe Target as well as session reply tools such as Decibel would be an advantage
Experience using key SEO tools that enable data-driven decisions (SeMRush, Moz etc) is desirable
Basic Photoshop experience and skills
Editing digital content within a CMS across multiple industry types such as publishing, insurance and travel sectors
Working with workload planning tools such as JIRA and Podio
Content curation & site merchandising
SEO experience and understanding of SEO principles
Editorial experience, copy writing & editing desirable and experience commissioning content would be a bonus

And right now we are seeking a Website Manager to join our Digital Experience team to create, update and maintain the content and user experience across the saga.co.uk digital estate, focusing primarily on our magazine & content website, apps and group digital assets.

As Website Manager you will play a key role in attracting and engaging a wider audience of the over 50's, positioning saga as experts in ageing whilst celebrating experience with compelling content. You will effectively manage multiple stakeholders to align content and customer experience across the organisation. You will be able to utilise your expertise to help shape and deliver our overall content to our customers, magazine subscribers and wider potential customer audience. In this role, you will play a supporting role in driving forward our digital pillar.
