Your Aramark journey starts here Aramark UK is looking to hire an experienced and dedicated Commis Chef to join the fantastic team at Argos Distribution Centre, Basildon, SS14 3FF. This is an exciting, permanent, and full-time opportunity reporting to the Catering Manager on site. The role will assume responsibility for all food production across from one main kitchen and support with planned ad hoc hospitality throughout the year. Aramark provides world-class contract catering services to our extensive list of clients across the UK, including Defence and Judicial, private industry and Education. You must be eligible to work in the UK and have resided in-country for more than 3 years. Security checks are required for this role. What is in it for you: This is a part-time position, 10 hours per week, Saturday and Sunday only. Shifts range between 8am and 1pm, leaving your
evenings free - a rarity when you work within culinary/hospitality. The hourly rate is £12.50. Free meals on shift and free parking on site. A day in the life of a Breakfast Chef: Preparing and cooking breakfast (full English breakfasts, sandwiches etc) Checking all food is compliant with allergens and Natasha's law. Completing daily paperwork to
cover due diligence. Checking, probing, and signing of all food deliveries, stock ordering and maintaining kitchen records. Monitoring and recording temperatures of fridges, freezers, hot cabinets, and serveries. Assisting in daily and weekly kitchen deep cleans.
