Full Job Description

The Domestic Services Operative will be assigned dedicated areas of work. Each area has its own staffing structure, and it is advised for each staff member to understand the team and how they interact with the Support Services. Each Domestic Service Operative will be supported by the wider Domestic Team led by the Departmental Supervisor who in turn reports to the Deputy Domestic Services and the Domestic Manager. This team is supported by the SFM Operational & Commercial Manager who links into other areas of the Facilities support network.

4xpart time, 07:00-19:00, Sat & Sun,22h

1xpart time ,22:00-06:00, Sat & Sun night,15h

As a Domestic Assistant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene throughout the hospital wards. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure a clean and safe environment for all patients, staff, and visitors, adhering strictly to NHS Cleaning Standards 2021. You will work closely with other hospital staff to support infection control measures and maintain a pleasant, sanitary space in patient rooms, communal areas, and other designated areas within the hospital.
The Domestic Services Operative will undertake a range of cleaning duties throughout all areas of an acute hospital to a high standard thus enhancing the patient's experience by ensuring that both the clinical and administrative environments are clean, well-presented, and maintained in a way which maximizes the patient's sense of comfort, safety, and well-being.

North Mid is part of North Central London integrated care system - consisting of the NHS and Local authority organisations in Camden, Islington, Barnet, Enfield and Haringey.
