Full Job Description

As the Retail Sales Assistant you will assist the retail operations and ensure that they are a successful source of income generation whilst maintaining a good rapport with the wider retail team. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Meeting agreed financial targets.
  • Ensuring highest standards of merchandising on the shop floor.
  • Receive, sort, prepare, price and maintain stock of donations for sale both in store & online.
  • Follow Pilgrims Hospices policies for the control, reconciliation and banking of daily takings and monthly returns to the finance department, ensuring security of data.
  • Provide a courteous and helpful service to the public.
  • The post holder must ensure that services are provided to a high standard.     This is a part-time role (7 hrs per week) and is based at Pilgrims Hospices' Margate Discount Store. Working days will be Saturday or Sunday, allocated via a monthly rota, although you should be flexible., Our hospices offer:
