Full Job Description

Welders are responsible to work with a variety of materials to fabricate new parts, equipment, and repairing our vast range of products, while using sophisticated equipment that creates intense heat. This will be done with a great deal of precision, following specifications and calculate the dimensions of the welded parts. Smoothing and polishing once completed.

As a welder, you'll inspect the materials in need of welding, maintain the equipment you use, and monitor the process to prevent overheating.

Operational Responsibilities:

  • Fabricate new metal components in accordance with product requirements and in compliance with all applicable standards of safety and performance.

  • Repair metal components in order to restore full functionality and safety performance.

  • Solve problems and develop innovative solutions to novel situations that require a fresh approach while still maintaining required standards of safety, stability, and security.

  • Maintain tools and equipment to a professional standard. Keep work station clean and orderly to retain a safe and operational work environment.

  • Coordinate workflow with other members of the team and third-party agents.

  • Execute particular welds in a professional manner, examine work pieces for defects, and measure work pieces with straightedges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications.

  • Work independently or with a small team of other welders to complete large and complex projects. Manage workflow, meet deadlines, and troubleshoot problems on a daily basis, in addition to fabrication duties.

  • Utilise physical strength and endurance to complete all welding tasks.

  • You remain calm in a fast paced, high-pressure environment.

  • You are flexible with start and finish times dependent on business requirements

  • You have good time management, with the ability to work under pressure, maintain accuracy and keep to deadlines

  • You have the ability to solve problems and make decisions

  • You have excellent relationship skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external teams

  • You have the ability to read and understand technical documents and drawings

  • You are competent in taking and reading measurements

  • You always follow specifications and instructions for maximum efficiency

  • You weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment

  • You have the skills, knowledge and attitude to be able to repair machinery at basic level

  • Plan layouts and procedures

  • Able to determine the appropriate welding equipment or machinery to be used

  • Set up components for welding

  • Be able to align components using callipers, rulers etc. and clamp pieces

  • Report damages on machines and equipment

  • Test and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws

  • Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety

  • You attend and participate in meetings and training sessions that may be necessary in the performance of your duties.

  • You may be required to undertake any additional tasks as may reasonably be required from time to time.


  • You will have:

  • 1 years of experience as MIG welder or similar role

  • 1 years of experience using a variety of welding equipment, machinery and procedures

  • 1 years of experience in using electrical or manual tools


  • In order to avoid injury, welders must have both mental and physical dexterity. It is vital that they have spatial awareness and a strong attention to small details.

    In the physical sense, welders must be strong and have great stamina, standing for long periods is a role requirement along with excellent manual dexterity to succeed. Welding torches can be very dangerous in the hands of an inexperienced worker.
