Full Job Description

Support of the children.
o To assist with children's personal hygiene (washing hands).
o To share in the general care and supervision of the children during the session, both indoors and outdoors.
o Welfare and supervision of all pupils before or after the meal in the playground, hall, corridors, and classrooms as instructed by head teacher.
o To support children with individual needs.
o To ensure that that the ethos of the school is implemented, by providing an Islamic upbringing within the setting
o To provide emergency treatment for accidents and to record such treatment.
o To report all accidents/illnesses to the Head Teacher.
o To carry out responsibilities under common law and the Health and Safety Act and to adhere to the school's health and safety policy.
o To maintain discipline during the lunch break and to promote adherence to the school's behaviour and anti-bullying policies.
o To ensure that local authority policies on equality are adhered to by not differentiating between children on grounds of gender, race, or disability.
o To promote adherence to the school's code of conduct.
o To report any matters involving child protection immediately to the headteacher.
o To develop good relationships with the children and other professionals.
o To be aware of school procedures and follow school policies, including Safeguarding Children

o NVQ level 2 in Childcare or equivalent
o At least 12 months experience of working in a successful early year setting.
o An understanding of child development, 0-5 years
o Ability to keep records pertaining to individual children
