Welfare Officer Salary Grade 3, Range 5-6 (£24,516 - £24,882) Term Time Only (38 weeks per year), plus 9 additional days Drayton Manor High School is looking to appoint a Welfare Officer. You will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the Welfare Office including acting as the School's First Aid Officer, administering primary first aid care to students and staff. The ideal candidate will be Level 3 Qualified in First Aid (First Aid at Work) with the confidence to act decisively in an emergency in line with the schools' medical needs policy. Candidates will be able to demonstrate that they have the necessary people skills, be extremely well organized and have the ability to prioritise work. Candidates should have excellent communication skills and be able to remain calm in a busy environment whilst maintaining confidentiality at all times. Owing to the nature of the role, an ability to relate to the school's students is crucial.
