Full Job Description

The purpose of the Welfare and Support Advisor is to ensure that students are well cared for by providing support and promoting the welfare and development of students.

Tasks include:

  • To promote student development by providing student guidance & support, both pastoral and academic.

  • To listen to and where possible resolve issues of concern for students

  • To be responsible for up to date file keeping and record collation where needed for allocated community

  • To communicate and uphold the ethos and rules of the School and promote student achievement.


  • You will be a good listener and have knowledge of the barriers to learning that students may face, and be able to create good relations with children, staff, parents and external agencies. Ideally you will have experience of working in a school environment or other educational setting.
