As a Wellbeing Coordinator, you'll play a crucial role in enriching the lives of our residents, helping to make each day meaningful and filled with joy. Ideally, we'd love for you to have some care experience, but we know that people from all kinds of backgrounds can thrive in this role. Whether you're a seasoned professional or just starting out, we'll support you every step of the way with all the training and guidance you need., Job titles can vary - this role is also known as activities coordinator, activity and wellbeing coordinator, activity leader, care home activities coordinator, lifestyle support worker, leisure and lifestyle assistant, social care.
If you're offered a role with us, it will be conditional on some standard checks, like references and a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. We also need you to have good English and numeracy skills, plus a passion for caring and helping our residents to thrive.

What you'll do At Derwent, resident wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do. We believe it's everyone's responsibility to create a warm, active, and fulfilling environment for our residents. You'll work alongside a fantastic team who share your passion for bringing joy to those in our care. This is a vibrant, varied role where no two days are the same! You will:
- Build meaningful connections with each resident, weaving their life stories into tailored activities.
- Plan and deliver a fun, diverse programme of group activities, one-to-one moments, and special events.
- Encourage and inspire residents to participate in activities that support social, emotional, and physical wellbeing.
- Help residents maintain strong connections with their loved ones and the wider community.
- Capture memorable moments through photos to share in newsletters and on social media.
