Full Job Description

We are looking for female educators who are ambitious and keen to break down the barriers that can often arise when looking to undertake leadership roles. This course is different to an NPQ. Whilst it will be grounded in research and evidence surrounding women in leadership, it will also provide opportunities to share common experiences, build confidence and look at strategies to overcome issues that many women face today in educational leadership.

The course is open to all middle and senior leaders or those aspiring to take their next steps. We want leadership to be a greater reflection of the teaching profession as a whole. Currently, there are more women in teaching but they continue to be underrepresented in leadership roles.

This course aims to explore and challenge this as well as create strong networks within the profession. As you read this, are you thinking I agree, I want to change and challenge the landscape? I am ready to take the next step, a step towards equality, a step to lead the way.

The course is aimed at aspiring leaders looking to take their next steps in leadership. The course will begin with a two-day conference in the Autumn term with keynote speaker Carly Waterman, Director of ECF Delivery for Ambition Institute, as well as hearing from women leaders across the county and beyond. This will then be followed by seminars and coaching sessions held throughout the year.

Key course themes:

  • Being Beyond the Exception

  • Smashing the Stereotypes

  • Feeling vs Being

  • Raising our Voices

  • Leading the Way

  • Building each other up
