Full Job Description

Middlesex Cricket, based at Lord's, is responsible for cricket in the county, from Men's and Women's senior teams to recreational cricket for all ages within the 17 London Boroughs that form the county of Middlesex. Reporting to the Director of Cricket, the successful candidate will be expected to lead the coaching and match programme for the Women's First XI as part of England & Wales Cricket Board's Tier 2 competitions. In addition, the candidate will also hold lead coaching responsibilities for the Emerging Player Programme, working alongside the Player Pathway Manager - Girls. The successful candidate will be expected to add significant value to an effective club-wide culture, in line with the club's 'Winning Together' strategy. Principal responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional cricket experiences to Women's First XI players, and drive a team strategy that creates vibrant, exciting and dynamic cricket that engages crowds and wins matches
  • Work with the Player Pathway Manager - Girls, Captain and all squad members to create a culture of high expectation and high support
  • Identify, recruit and develop players to strengthen the first XI squad
  • Identify and develop players from the Middlesex Pathway and EPP that will enhance the quality of the First XI
  • Lead a coaching and development programme aligned to the Middlesex playing philosophy that provides exceptional support for the county's most talented young players
  • Collaborate with Sports Science and Medicine teams to ensure exceptional support for all senior and pathway players
  • Where necessary and when directed, support other aspects of Middlesex Cricket

    A proven track record of leading successful, elite women's cricket programmes
  • ECB Level 3 coach (Level 4 desirable)
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with players, and coaching and support staff
  • High degree of organisation and ability to prioritise workloads
  • Any ad-hoc duties as required

  • Desire to challenge themselves and those around them in the pursuit of excellence
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Up-to-date DBS check will be required (assistance can be provided)
