Full Job Description
Howdens are looking for a Wood Machinist to join our manufacturing site in Howden, East Yorkshire. This is an essential role in which you will safely manufacture a range of panels to the correct quality specification. Pay rate and shift pattern:
- £19.18ph + £4,571.32 per annum shift allowance + Monthly production bonus
- Nights - Mon, Tue, Wed, 4 pm - 2:30 am, Thursday 3:30 pm -1:30 am What you'll be doing as a Wood Machinist:
- Performing machine pre-use safety checks
- Setting up the machine/process in accordance with the specific SOP
- Monitoring of the machine during production
- Producing confirmations on MES
- Performing detailed process quality checks in accordance with the area SOP
- Changing tooling and performing minor adjustments to the agreed housekeeping standards
Production and/or manufacturing experience working in a fast-paced factory environment - Wood machining experience
- Ability to read and understand manual handling risk assessments and SOPs
