Full Job Description
Are you passionate about tackling work and skills issues and creating solutions for residents? This role will provide comprehensive employment support to MTVH residents through 1-1 and group based interventions. Support will include addressing entry barriers to the labour market, maximising professional development for people who are in work, creating learning and career pathways to address skills gaps and foster career growth and offering early targeted interventions for customers facing complex barriers to work. The Work and Skills Specialist will link with frontline teams across MTVH to design and deliver work and skills pathways, identify and support residents through those pathways and evaluate the success of these initiatives.
- Strong track record of delivering work and skills support with a track record of supporting people into work or improved skills.
- Highly organised with strong interpersonal skills
- Experience of using coaching and training techniques to engage and empower service users
- Innovation and ability to continuously improve service outcomes.
- Experience of delivering hard targets and working within a performance driven environment.
- Proven experience of delivering a coordinated holistic service with a good working knowledge of the issues affecting those who are in in-work poverty or not working.
- Experience of identifying, developing and managing strong partnerships.
- IAG Level 4 Qualification desirable.
- Experience of using employability systems and/or Customer Relationship Management systems. To meet our commitment to providing safe, high quality services to our customers we will complete a Enhanced background check with the Disclosure and Barring service, once an offer of employment is made. As standard you will be added to the DBS updating service with a new check being carried out on a 3 yearly basis.
