Full Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Workforce Manager to join our team at HMP Thameside. HMP Thameside is a local category B resettlement prison in the Thamesmead area of the Royal Borough of Greenwich, South-East London. As the Workforce Manager you will be pivotal in ensuring the workforce is dynamic, agile and up to date with all aspects of mandatory training. Within this role you will supervise and manage all aspects of staffing, including recruitment activity, working patterns, annual leave, sickness and attendance monitoring., Your duties will include:

  • Effective administration of the rota to ensure sufficient staff are on duty
  • Maintain close working relationships with various stakeholders involved in the delivery of prison healthcare, including security and safer custody teams
  • Develop strong links with the recruitment team to ensure timely turnaround of applications, interview feedback, and maintain close contact with offered candidates
  • Provide bespoke induction to new starters
  • Monitor staff training and booking training as required
  • Prepare monthly performance reports to the senior management team in HMP Thameside

    The successful candidate will have an ECDL or equivalent, as well as the ability to thrive when working to tight deadlines. Experience of working in an administrative management role, maintaining databases, producing reports, have an excellent working knowledge of Microsoft word and Excel, as well as the ability to prioritise workload /ability to delegate appropriately is essential.

    This is a full-time role, working 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday either 8am to 4pm or 9am to 5pm. You will receive an annual salary up to £38,000 per annum - depending on experience. It doesnt stop there we also offer:
