Full Job Description

An opportunity to work with the CETP DACH coverage team based in London. The role will work on a research and analytical project to support the team as they source and evaluate investment opportunities throughout German speaking Europe. The Working Student will spend time working with all members of the team, supporting sourcing, deal execution and value-creation efforts. This is:

  • An opportunity to join a lean, entrepreneurial, and highly collaborative team focused on tech investing within the DACH region.

  • An opportunity to actively evaluate, manage, and source potential technology investment opportunities as an integral part of the team (which will include interacting directly with senior deal team members and management teams)


  • This role is a part-time opportunity (20 hours per week) for 6 months.,
  • Industry/thematic research and competitive analysis

  • Sourcing, prospecting, and diligence support via quantitative and qualitative analysis

  • Financial analysis, valuation, and modelling

  • Support on the execution of live transactions, working as part of the existing team

  • Drafting of memoranda for internal and external use

    Fluency (both spoken and written) in German and English language are a requirement for this position.

  • Exceptional record of achievement in academic and other settings

  • Degree from a top academic institution


  • Professional Experience
  • 2-3 years of relevant work experience in top investment banking, strategy consulting, private/growth equity or relevant asset management (incl. VC, HF, and private credit)

  • Advanced proficiency with accounting and finance is highly desirable. High level of competence with respect to analysis, due diligence, and financial modelling preferred

  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills (i.e., PowerPoint and Excel)

  • Any demonstrated interest in technology (e.g. personal interests, engineering degree, tech investing experience, working with TMT clients in consulting or banking). Knowledge of B2B/enterprise software and/or other higher growth technology areas would be considered a plus

    Details of Internship
    Commitment: 20 hours per week, mixture of remote working and London office.
    Term: min. 6 months from start date
