Full Job Description

Key Activities / Measurables Activities

  • To complete routine and preventive maintenance
  • Responsible for the Insurance inspection of plant in all Units
  • To support the Quality Department with the responsibilities of COSHH
  • Responsible for all site services and building services
  • Responsible for the maintenance of buildings and heating systems
  • Responsible for Plant development and control, maintenance and services
  • Responsible for routine Plant servicing (air, water, steam and testing)
  • Responsible for all water treatment of plant and facilities
  • To maintain a tidy and clean working area and surroundings and to adhere to the Company standards of housekeeping
  • To participate in Continuous Improvement and Problem Solving training & activities within department
  • To promote the Company in a professional and ethical manner at all times.

  • Timely response to all breakdown notifications
  • Accurate and timely submission of reports
  • Actively participate and contribute in meetings
  • Timely response to managing all Engineering Requests
  • Good housekeeping standards

    Formal engineering qualifications BTEC or equivalent
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations Maths and English GCSE Grade C or equivalent Valid Driver's Licence Desirable Reach Truck/ Counter balance licence Loler Inspection Certificate Basic knowledge of Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) when controlling manufacturing processes Knowledge of statutory insurance inspections Knowledge of water treatment plant Experience in EPS moulding plant or similar Exposure to Lean manufacturing Skills and Experience Required Experience in mechanical and electrical engineering Experience of completing preventative maintenance tasks Working within a strong H&S culture Experience in maintaining building facilities Practical experience in managing breakdowns/ fault finding and problem solving Good IT skills (in particular Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook) Excellent communication skills both written and verbal Able to work under pressure Ability to plan own workload and work to deadlines, ability to work independently under own initiative Organised and methodical with excellent attention to detail Desirable Experience of operating and maintaining an industrial boiler Boiler Operation and Maintenance Personal Attributes Resilience and determination to solve a problem and reach the end goal Well presented with a professional approach to the role Approachable and enthusiastic, with a "can do" attitude Flexible and adaptable Team player and collaborative worker Self-motivated
