Workshop Technician

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Workshop Technician to join our team at Sunbelt Rentals UK. It's our vision to own the future of rentals and our mission to deliver a world-class experience. As a Workshop Technician, you will support operational delivery of the Safety and Communications business, you'll be responsible for delivering a best-in-class service to our customers using your experience to help our customers with on-site issues, diagnosing and guiding them through procedures and fault diagnosis of the Safety and Communication equipment. Key responsibilities.

• Undertake calibration of the equipment.
• Diagnose and fix equipment where needed.
• Ensuring the safe use of all the equipment.
• Ensure audit and compliance systems are kept up to date and adhered too.
• To ensure that all reporting, administration is completed / maintained in line with Company standards.
• Involvement with onsite projects ensuring asset management of safety and communications equipment.
• Adhering to and promoting Health and Safety and compliance of equipment standards.
• Maintaining effective relationships with all internal and external stakeholders.
• Working with operations to resolve customer issues promptly and to the satisfaction of all concerned.
• KPI management including effectively working towards key team targets.
• To raise the Sunbelt Rentals profile and reputation through professional attitude.
• Adhere to and promote all health and safety standards and ensure all employees do the same to generate a safe working environment.

• Having previous experience of Safety and Communication is desirable.
• Technical expertise is desirable.
• Strong commitment to delivering high standards.
• Experience in developing and utilising product knowledge, eager to understand our product range and the wider Sunbelt business
• Exceptional communication skills, you'll have the ability to engage and build relationships with both internal and external customers
• An inquisitive mind, you'll enjoy analysing and problem solving - thinking quickly to provide immediate solutions to complex customer on-site service issues
• An effective team member with a highly supportive, collaborative approach
• A flexible and adaptable person, you'll enjoy a varied workday in a fast-paced operational environment where you'll manage multiple tasks, deadlines and targets whilst maintaining high standards of accuracy
• A commitment to continuous improvement, puts forward and acts on suggestions to improve processes and service levels
• Computer literate. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Flexible working mentality in line with business requirements including occasional weekends and additional hours connected to site-based work.
