Workshop Technician (Test, Measurement & Inspection)

We're looking to hear from existing or potential Workshop Technicians of all levels for a brand new opportunity in our Knowsley-based Test, Measurement & Inspection team.Depending on your existing skills & experience we could consider you for one of 3 possible levels of Workshop Technician within our team. Key Responsibilities To test and run our Test, Measuring and Inspection products in line with Manufacturer requirements ready for re-hire to customers. Make assessments on whether equipment can be made available for hire in a cost effective wayPrepare new equipment for hire and complete PDI on saleable equipment.Use internal software to record servicing activity and consumption of spare parts.Accurately record spare parts used in servicing and ensure serviced equipment is in the correct system status. Depending On Skill LevelSupervising the servicing of a wide range of Test, Measurement and Inspection products in line with Company procedures and OEM requirementsProvide training and

supervision for all relevant ESSential, Core, Extended and Service to Order productsTrain and supervise the use of third-party software to an advanced level and ensure a strong level of record-keeping is maintainedReview work completed by other technicians and suggest improvements to processes enacted by other technicians (supporting other ESS Branches)Be able to calibrate all relevant TMI and 3rd party productsWhat We're Looking For An Electrical/Mechanical qualification or similar would be preferred but is not essential.We would consider a college leaver with relevant Electrical/mechanical qualifications looking for a role to train and progress within. Knowledge of Test, Measurement, Inspection and Calibration industry desirable but not essential.Good communication skills both with colleagues and customers internally and externally.Willing to attend manufacturers training courses around the UK when requested.Be able to manage workloads and prioritise effectivelyCompetent IT skills, the
