Full Job Description

  • Provide the analysis to support the management of WW overhead unit P&Ls (increasing significantly this year) including:
  • Collating and reviewing the inputs from multiple senor leadership budget holders to put together a forecast for both the UK and US WW overhead units
  • Providing the analysis to facilitate the overview commentary versus comparable periods including, budget, prior year and prior forecast for Overhead P&Ls monthly and upon reforecast
  • Review and update the forecasts of both the UK and US WW units with monthly actualisation to review, question and report back to the WW Finance Director on significant variations or changes to forecast
  • Continue to review and improve the existing processed and systems to drive transformation within the WW function
  • Coordinate with WPP IT to ensure consistency of reporting to other areas of the business
  • Monthly accruals review
  • Ad hoc projects could take up to 25% - 30% of the role including supporting other areas of the GroupM WW function and reporting

    Qualified Accountant
  • Post-qualification experience
  • Worked in a large multinational group business
  • Financial accounting, systems, and processes - (Preferable) BFC reporting building and retrieving
  • Effective communication and influencing skills
  • Interacted with senior leadership stakeholders in large organisations
  • Highly motivated and analytical, with excellent Excel, numeracy, attention to detail, and problem solving, Demonstrable technical financial background and experience of business success
  • A sensitivity and understanding of UK and Global business culture and practices;
  • Experience of, or a sensitivity to, media best practices including media investment arrangements;
  • To ideally have operated successfully in a matrix structure;
  • Excellent analytical / problem solving skills with the patience to examine detail and create solutions;
  • High emotional intelligence, maturity and able to manage self and others in a constructive manner, always with a talent mindset;
  • Great people person.
  • Ability to concisely and clearly present information to financial and non-financial people;
  • Workflow management i.e., effective organizational and time management skills and ability to plan and prioritize.
