Full Job Description

West Yorkshire Police is looking to recruit 1 x Intelligence Indexer to join the Protective Services Crime unit based in Bradford on a permanent basis.

An excellent opportunity has arisen to play a key role in a large team whose primary key output will be to process and index intelligence submissions ensuring the Force is provided with a current and accurate intelligence picture. Intelligence Indexers will manage prison release intelligence, liaising with HM Prisons and Probation Services ensuring that systems are updated in a timely manner.

The ideal candidate will preferably come with an understanding of the Data Protection Legislation and a good working knowledge of IT systems, as well as the ability to successfully complete IT courses required for the role.

Applicants should ideally be able to demonstrate a proven ability to review complex data to ensure accuracy at all levels.

The successful candidates will be subject to personal and financial vetting checks prior to appointment.

The Intelligence Indexer role will be based at Trafalgar House Police Station, Bradford with the potential to work agile. Interviews will take place at Police Headquarters, Admin Block 4, Wakefield.

You must be prepared to work flexible hours to suit the requirements of the department.
