Full Job Description

This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in a unique team, supporting the work of Counter Terrorism Policing.

As part of the Forensic Management Team, you will deal with covert and overt forensic and conventional intelligence/evidence to support CTP investigations in conjunction with regional, national and international law enforcement agencies. Responsibilities include conducting scene investigations associated to terrorism incidents/offences, forensic examinations where applicable, searching scenes as a qualified Licenced Search Officer, scene management and exhibit handling/processing to assist internal and external partners., Please note that the successful candidate will be subject to enhanced level personal and financial vetting checks prior to appointment and developed level personal and financial vetting checks after appointment.

You must be a British citizen and eligible to hold a British passport to work in the CTP NE.

Shift Allowance
14%, Weekend Enhancements

Eligible candidates will have successfully completed an appropriate Crime Scene Investigation course or the National CT Forensic Management Course or have equivalent experience.

You will come with proven experience of crime scene investigation and the ability to successfully complete the Police Licensed Search Officer (LSO) course if not already trained. You will be required to conduct CBRN training and CBRN activities, including wearing appropriate PPE and working in unpleasant and potentially highly contaminated environments.

We will need you to be able to work unsociable hours (shifts and weekends), working within a 24-hour period, in any area in the CTP NE region and outside the area if required, on occasions for extended periods. In addition, you will need an awareness of Health and Safety issues and relevant practical experience, as well as a full current UK/European driving licence.
