Yard Operative

We are seeking to strengthen our team by recruiting an additional Yard Operative. As a Yard Operative you will be a key player in helping to support the day to day running of the busy potato and grain storage facility. Full training can be given for the right applicant, the right attitude is one of the key attributes we require for this role.

WHAT YOU'LL DO ON A DAY TO DAY BASIS

Day to Day running of the potato wash
Loading and Unloading Potato and Grain Lorries.
Operating a caterpillar loader (full training can be given)
Using a Forklift and Telehandler to move potato boxes around the site
Keeping up to date all the relevant paperwork
Ensuring quality standards are maintained
Experience using a Forklift Truck and Telehandler are desirable, but not essential as we are willing to train the right applicant.
Shunting trailers on-site
Keeping the potato and grain storage areas and yard clean and tidy.

Previous experience of on-site shunting desirable, but not essential
FLT and telehandler experience desirable, but not essential
Adaptable and able to change priorities as required.
