Position: Yard Operative Contract Type: Permanent, - 40 hours per week Location: Baginton, Coventry Shift: Nights (Monday - Friday / 19.00-03.30) Hourly rate: £11.44 per hour Why choose DHL eCommerce UK? About the role: Ensure the yard area, including entry and exit points, vehicle wash, weighbridge, fuel islands and walkways, are managed in order for both vehicles and pedestrians to move freely and safely within the yard area. To oversee and promote best practice for the dispensing of all fuels / cleaning fluids and the operation of the mechanised vehicle wash. Challenge and report on any non-compliance.

  • Keep wash and fuel island area clean and obstruction free.
  • Hold and administer spare fuel and Adblue cards.
  • Fuel LNG vehicles if required.
  • Oversee operation of vehicle wash ensuring correct program selection.
  • Oversee operation of pressure washer equipment and ensure safe and correct storage.
  • Valet vehicle interiors if requested by duty process manager.
  • Assist drivers with windscreen cleaning if required.
  • Challenge and report any misuse of fuel island or vehicle wash equipment.
  • Report all non-compliances with fuel island or the vehicle wash operational procedures.
